Softball for Chalfont, New Britain, Doylestown & Warrington Area
Welcome to Lenape Valley Girls Softball
LVGS offers Intramural and Travel Softball Programs for girls (and women) from age 4 to 23. We are a 100% Volunteer Organization. Without volunteers to run the programs, the league can not exist.
Our home fields are at New Britain Township's North Branch Park, 207 Park Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914. The fields (#1, #2, & #3) are located directly behind the New Britain Township Administration (and Police) building.
There are two Intramural softball seasons at LVGS. The Spring season which runs from late March through mid June; and our Fall ball program which runs from September to early November. Spring Intramural softball offers U6, U8, U10, U13, U14, U18, and U23 divisions. The Fall program is more limited offering U8, U10, U13, and U14 programs.
Travel Softball begins with tryouts in August. The teams practice and play games throughout the Fall, parctice through the winter, and have thier 'season' from late March through the end of July. The Lenape Valley Girls Softball Travel Teams are the "Fury". The cost of Travel is substantially higher than Intramural and requires a full time commitment to softball.
Throughout the year LVGS also offers Clinics for girls looking to improve their skills. Clinics are for girls 8+ years old. Fall and Spring Clinics are outdoors at North Branch Park. Winter Clinics are held at an indoor facility.
LVGS is a Member of ASA, the Amateur Softball Association. ASA breaks down divisions by 2 year age groups, based upon participants age as of January 1. The ASA divisions are U6, U8, U12, U14, and U18. Lenape Valley Girls Softball has expanded the U12 division to a U13 division for girls that enjoy Intramural but do not want to travel beyond North Branch Park. Our U14 program has only enough players, so we play teams from other communities like Doylestown, North Penn, Deep Run (Hilltown), etc.
If you have any questions about our program, or would like to make LVGS continue, please contact us.

Welcome to the 2015 Spring Season
Thank you very much for registering your girls with Lenape Valley Girls Softball! For anyone who is new to Lenape Valley Softball, Welcome to the League! And for those returning, Welcome Back!
For those that don’t know me; my name is Mike St. John and I am the LVGS President and will be the U10 Commissioner this year. My primary goal for all the girls is to make this a FUN experience for them and learn a bit about playing softball and working on their skills. I have been involved with LV Softball since 2011 and have been coaching or assistant coaching all of the years I’ve been involved. I have two daughters who play in the league; one at U10 and one at U8.
For all head coaches, assistant coaches there will be a coach's clinic at PSC Highpoint on Thursday March 19, 2015 from 6-7PM in the arena area. I strongly suggest all coaches attend this clinic. It is completely free to you! (other than your time)
This clinic is also available to any interested parent who would like to attend. (or may be interested in coaching at some in the future)
For anyone who is interested in Umpiring this year, an Umpire Clinic will also be held at PSC Highpoint the same date and Time also in the arena area.
Umpires are paid for each game that they officiate but must be trained and put on a list to be scheduled.
If you cannot make this clinic date and time, please reach out directly to Norm Moore - Umpire Coordinator;
As we prepare for the 2015 Spring season, I wanted to reach out and let everyone know that we are working on getting the teams set up. As soon as we have our draft of players and team assignments, head coaches will be in contact with you to relay practice and games schedules.

A few notes on equipment:
Helmets, bats and balls will be provided by the league, but you are welcome to provide your own helmets and bats.
Please ensure that if your daughter is using her own helmet that it has a face mask and chin strap.
Please make sure that if your daughter has her own bat that it is a fastpitch softball bat. These cannot be baseball bats or T-Ball bats and should have a USSSA or ASA label on them as approved for fastpitch softball.
Either cleats or sneakers are fine, but metal spikes are not allowed.
Pitchers at U10 and U12 must have a full face guard/mask. They will be mandatory for pitchers at these age groups as a league this year. Each U10 and U12 team will have one in the equipment bag if you do not already have one to use.
